Situated alongside the St John's Road between St Osyth and Clacton this 2-acre irrigation pond is one of two lakes controlled by the club here. It is well suited to match and pleasure anglers with the majority of fish being Carp of 3-12lbs. A good head of silver fish including some good sized bream and roach are also present. Match weights regularly exceed 100lbs. Depths range from 3ft to 6ft with a fairly uniform lake bed, some overhanging trees are present along with a large reed-lined area.
Stocking Update - Feb 2023: We have drastically reduced Carp numbers and will continue to do so. We have introduced just under a thousand Tench and Crucians, along with a further 12,000 mixed silver fish. These actions are part of a plan to make this water a true mixed fishery and offer more diverse angling to club members.
Stocking Update - TBC 2024: We have ordered another 12,000 mixed silver fish, and also are working with the EA and other clubs to secure more stock of larger Bream and silvers in the near future.
