Situated alongside the A120 between Horsley Cross and Wix this 4-acre irrigation pond is the second of two lakes controlled by the club here. A relatively new water, which is being established as an easy access specimen water. Carp over 30lbs and Catfish to 30lbs reside here, with 'nuisance' species kept to a natural minimum. The Carp and Cats have displayed impressive growth rates over the past few years and this is very much an up and coming venue, ongoing stocking plans as detailed below mean this is a water to watch in the future. There are now over 20 Carp over 20lbs present. Depths range from 6ft along the reed-lined margins to 20ft in the middle. There is some weed growth in the summer months. Pegs are evenly spaced along the lake and staggered on opposing banks to avoid problems during busier times. Vehicular access is available to both fish-able banks.
Stocking Update - January 2023: We have recently introduced 6x C5 (20-22lb) Carp from Chilston Fisheries.
Stock Update Summer 2023 - There are now only around 6-8 known Catfish in this water, they have been thinned out to allow the recently stocked, and upcoming stockings of Carp to achieve better growth rates.
Stocking Update - October 2023: 5x C5 'Simmos' have been stocked, we look forward to reviewing their growth over the next few years and subsequently planning for the future.
Stocking Update - TBC: 10x C6's (20-22lbs) are planned to be stocked early 2024.
