Welcome to Paxman’s Angling Club’s website.

The club was founded in 1950 by the workers at Davey Paxman and Co., an engineering firm based in Colchester. The club was, for many decades, run as a works club, and was one of many sports sections of Paxman’s Athletic and Social Club. During the middle to late nineties, with the continual reduction of the Company and subsequent demise of the Social Club, the Angling club, through the endeavors of the Committee continued as an independent open membership club.

Today we are a friendly thriving club, which welcomes all anglers albeit pleasure, specimen, carp or match, with our club waters holding fish that will cater for every discipline.
